Lovely welcome pack from Nikki and Paul, much appreciated. Great location for exploring the area. The road noise which gets frequent mentions in previous reviews was not a problem for us, there is really very little traffic at night and not a great deal during the day. Parking is fine for one car although sometimes we saw that vehicles meeting on the road outside did try and use the parking area as a passing space so our car needed to be tucked in close to the wall. It should be mentioned that there is no door to the double bedroom upstairs so it is not completely private and, for a person that goes to bed early, conversations and TV etc downstairs would be audible. The easy solution is for that person to use the downstairs bedroom. Overall, very happy with the Happy Cow and we'd be very happy to come again.

Enjoying the beautiful Forest over the New Year, it's in a perfect location for exploring all the wonderful places the Forest and surrounding area has to offer. Happy Cow Cottage is ideal, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. It's beautifully presented and relaxing in front of the log burner at the end of a day exploring is a delight. See you soon Happy Cow!

It is such a clean cottage, warm and very cosy inside and the little fairy lights look so pretty in the upstairs bedroom. We thank you for all the doggy treats and cake etc, such a nice touch after such a long journey. We certainly packed in a lot over the few days we had - Chepstow Castle is very impressive and Monmouth is worth a look. Thank you both for a really nice time at Happy Cow.
