The house was excellent. The housekeeper was brilliant and went beyond the ca;; of duty to provide some basket provisions and other support. The brochure siad there wold be a "welcome basket" Due to Covid this has not happened for at least 12 months, probably more. I can understand from the owner's viewpoint why this has stopped. However 12 moths plus is time for Rural retreats to update their brochure. This would avoid us being caught unprepared after a journey late on a Friday night. My criticism is not at the owner of the housekeeper who went beyond the call of duty and saved the day
