We loved sitting on the veranda watching the ducks and chickens in the farmyard; the sheep and horses in the nearby field; swallows swooping in and out of the barn and the distant views. The kitchen area is compact but perfectly usable - we cooked every day. It would have been nice if the fridge had had a small freezer compartment, but other than that we had everything we needed. We spent some of our days cycling around the quiet lanes and exploring the beautiful villages nearby. This is perfect cycling country for gentle touring, and the availability of a spacious store for the bikes was very helpful. Thank you Glyn and Cei for your warm welcome and providing great little place to stay.

A lovely comfortable quiet cottage. Ideal for two. We will be back there again for sure. The owners Glyn and Cei are a very friendly couple, always on hand, full of information about the area, and very welcoming. A well placed property to explore Herefordshire and beyond. Throughly recommended. Thank you for a fantastic break.

The Hayloft is well equipped, comfortable and absolutely spotless. The owners were friendly and we had some interesting chats with Glyn. The farm had horses, sheep, chickens, ducks and a cat as well as the owners dogs. We were allowed to wander around the farm which gave a lovely sense of freedom. The area has plenty to do….we spent a lovely day browsing the book shops in Hay-on-Wye, took a trip to the nearby towns of Kington and Leomister. We also visited Weobley which is a beautiful village with black and white houses and a fantastic Indian takeaway which Glyn recommended. We also walked up to Offa’s Dyke and, despite being a rainy day, the scenery was stunning. The Hayloft is a real little gem and Cei and Glyn have succeeded in having a place that we will want to return to - as will all who stay in it, I’m sure.
