The downside and its a big downside is that it also has an apartment up over and when occupied you can hear every noise above day and night which means a quiet and relaxing time away is not going to happen, we didn't realise this until reading reviews on another website after the event we feel that this should have been stated in the description.

The owners were super friendly, cottage was cosy and as a bonus for an electric car driver there is a super fast charger two minutes drive away. We will be back.
