About this property

Nestled in the idyllic Robin Hoods Bay, Summerhouse is a delightful, wooden chalet along the North Yorkshire coast. Set over the ground floor, this chalet is an ideal base for couples seeking a simplistic abode with plenty of attractions in the region. Secure, off-road parking greets you as you unload your bags and enter through the characterful front door. The internal is small yet well-appointed; the open-plan living space houses a plush sofa from which you can relax after a long day, whilst the house chef can take over the kitchen and whip up a tasty meal. Take a seat at the dining table or step outside and relax at the bench, taking in the tranquil atmosphere with glass of fizz in hand. As you look to rest, begin your nightly routine in the shower room before getting comfortable in the bedroom, with a double bed and two side tables. When you’re ready to explore, you’ll have the best of Robin Hood's Bay right on your doorstep; discover local history at the town's museum, wander the cobbled streets for quirky shops and cafés, or head straight to the beach for a day by the sea. This historic fishing village is surrounded by sweeping bays, beautiful cliffs and rolling countryside for unforgettable coastal walks. Hop in the car and explore the harbour town of Whitby; climb the 199 steps to reach the magical Abbey ruins, test your swing on the stunning golf course or visit the beach and catch the traditional seaside atmosphere. Furth along the coast lies Scarborough, where you can marvel at the ruins of an ancient castle, discover the art gallery inside a 19th-century Italian-style villa, or embark along the Cleveland Way to make the most of your coastal location. Enjoy a memorable retreat with your other half at Summerhouse. Note: This property can be booked with Ref. 1114663, together sleeping up to 10 guests.

Robin Hood's Bay is one of the most picturesque villages on the English coast. This charming old fishing village is nestled at the edge of a wide bay backed by spectacular cliffs and dramatic moorland scenery. Author Leo Walmsley once lived here. All vacationers will love the beach and cliff-top walks, while serious walkers will enjoy the Cleveland Way, the Lyke Wake Walk, and the Coast to Coast walks. The village has charming alleyways and plenty of places to rest, relax, and refresh. Perfect for exploring the Yorkshire Coast.

Easy parking and access to the amazing walks and shore and to the bus. The bus is the best way to travel. Very cosy chalet with lovely wood panelling. We had a most comfortable week

  • Josephine

Great parking. The couch is not comfortable though and a washing machine and iron would have been good.

  • Patricia

Only downside was the door didn't fit properly so it was drafty. Other than that we had a great time :)
