"Great upside-down holiday cottage, with a thoughtful welcome pack from the owners including some extra dog waste bags which were very handy! For us what let the property down was not having an enclosed garden space for the dog, this would have made it the perfect stay - it would have been a lot easier to be able to just let him out rather than having to walk him up the road to do his business. The Tallet is opposite the owners house which has garden space but sadly not fully enclosed with direct access onto the road. They also had free range chickens which the dog was very interested in! Some great walks directly from the cottage and nice local pubs but if you wanted anything more you’d need to drive to surrounding villages. A good quiet rural location."

"Our stay was for 3 nights, and The Tallet was ideally located to watch the Severn Bore, which was the purpose of our visit. It’s an attractively converted building, which has been thoughtfully decorated and fitted out, and being on the edge of the owners farm, we enjoyed watching the hens with chicks, and the cows across the road. There was a welcoming selection of goodies when we arrived, and even the nice touch of a jug of milk in the fridge."

"It was our fifth visit to The Tallet and it won't be our last."

"A lovely cosy cottage with all you need for a comfortable stay. Owners left a tray of essentials to start us off for the week i.e coffee, tea, milk, eggs wine and some lovely cake. Good local walks and the Red Lion Pub at the top of the road was welcoming with great food. We had a lovely week in this cottage and would recommend it, we would stay there again."

"Had a great time staying there. It is a quiet part of Gloucestershire, near the River Severn, which allowed some super walks. The local villages like Frampton were also incredibly attractive. The Gloucester canal also was very picturesque and offered good walking. There are a lot of interesting places within easy access, such as Gloucester Cathedral and many National Trust places to visit. The local pubs in Arlingham, Frampton and Saul were very good, offering really good food at a reasonable price."

"My second time at The Tallet. Second because I loved it so much the first time. It's such a great little place, quiet, comfortable and on a beautiful farm in the most beautiful location. Family are very friendly and wonderfully unobtrusive. Red Lion is a superb pub and the Severn and the Canal cutting across the peninsula are spectacular."

"Had a great week at the Tallet very cosy clean and tidy The TALLET {it means attic or barn} is a refurbished stable where in days gone by the ostlers lived above the stables and is an upside down house ie kitchen & lounge is upstairs and bed and bath below.Hence the name.nearest shops about a mile away, but the pub The Red Lion in the village is excellent.we would highly recommend this"

"Lovely little cottage, just right for the two of us and the dog. Good walks along the Severn and fields. Lots of wildlife to see. Friendly landlord, but not intrusive."

    Linda ‐ 24 Feb 2019
"Lovely location if you want to escape from it all ;great for dogs. Lots to do in the local area. Would go back.?"
    Caroline ‐ 6 Feb 2019
"Lovely cottage with everything you need to hand. Tasty cake on arrival and milk in the fridge was a nice touch. Even the dog has special treats left for him. Highly recommend this cottage for a cosy break."
    Alex ‐ 2 Jan 2019
"We had the most magical Christmas at the Tallet, was a beautiful cottage, we wish we could live there."
    GUY ‐ 5 Dec 2018
"Superb place for a quiet escape - we went to get a book written, and got a lot done. No mobile coverage, good wifi, nice comfortable space, very friendly but unobtrusive landlord in Keith, and some great walks around the peninsula when we needed a break - the views along the Severn are fantastic. Two warnings - check what evenings the Red Lion is actually serving food if you're planning to eat there (although the beer was excellent!), and the village shop basically sells nothing but milk - so take absolutely everything you need with you, or be prepared to drive."

"Ideal retreat in a peaceful location for rest and recuperation. If you want to stop the world and get off for a while, this is the place. Excellant pub within 20 minute walk. Nearest shop in next village. Very comfortable accomodation."
