Outside guests can relax in the rear garden with lovely views, enjoy alfresco dining in the courtyard or spend some time chatting over a refreshing drink in the summerhouse. The ancient village of Ruardean is just one mile away which has a good village pub, shop and post office. Take a stroll along the banks of the River Wye, visit the pretty riverside town of Ross-on-Wye or enjoy adrenaline-fuelled activities in the forest. The tiny village of Ruardean Hill is situated on the northern edge of the magnificent Royal Forest of Dean, England's largest oak forest and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The forest offers numerous trails that can be explored on foot, by bicycle or by horseback. Caving, abseiling and a high wire rope course are on offer for the more adventurous, whilst fishing, golf, kayaking and canoeing are other popular activities in this unspoilt area. Just a short drive away, in the historic waterfront city of Gloucester. This unspoilt area has something to offer everyone at any time of the year.
