We visited pubs, shops and a cafe in the village as well as travelled to local towns and did lots of walking in the Forest of Dean. The cottage is in a great position with a peaceful view. I was a bit surprised by the main trainline so close by, but didnât find it too disturbing. We had everything we needed in the cottage and found the secure garden a particular benefit for our dog. The owner was friendly and helpful. To increase comfort levels even more Iâd suggest a new mattress. However we had a great time overall for the week and can see why itâs such a popular cottage.

.absolutely loved it and so did the dogs.fields as far as you could see and the dogs were allowed to be off the lead as no sheep etc..very welcoming host.the cottage had everything you needed. Nice pubs especially the railway.it had an Indian restaurant above and the food is lovely..Will definitely be back..
