Mitcheldean is a Gloucestershire village, close to the Royal Forest of Dean, with old timbered houses and narrow streets. Fishing, canoeing and golf are also available in the area. The market town of Ross-on-Wye is close by, in Herefordshire, and offers a variety of shops, pubs and restaurants, while a short drive away is the historic city of Gloucester, home to Victorian Docklands and a Norman Cathedral, the cloisters of which were used as a location in the Harry Potter films.

    Just one thing that needs to be pointed out in case it is vital to some. The Shower is poor unfortunately. It takes a while to get showered and rinsed. But other than that I cannot praise it enough. And the couple that own it are very helpful if you need anything. And the welcome basket was a very nice touch.
