Guests that stayed at this property said

The majority of reviews highlight the property's cleanliness, with guests appreciating the well-maintained and tidy environment. One review mentioned a less than satisfactory level of cleanliness, but this seems to be an isolated incident.

The location is consistently described as beautiful and peaceful, with stunning views and proximity to local attractions. The rural setting is central to the property's appeal, despite some concerns about parking and local traffic.

Guests find the cottage comfortable, with special mentions of cosy beds and a warm atmosphere. However, some reviews brought up issues with bedroom doors not closing properly and a low ceiling in one room, slightly affecting the comfort score.

Facilities are generally well-received, with a fully equipped kitchen and quality furnishings. Maintenance issues such as door handles and water pressure were noted, alongside the absence of a back garden for pets. The presence of a new central heating system indicates ongoing improvements.

Several reviews mention welcome packs and treats, indicating a level of thoughtfulness. However, as these gifts are subject to change and not guaranteed, they should be considered a bonus rather than an expectation.

It had all the mod cons needed for a pleasant stay. Decoration in the house is lovely and it is well maintained. If you have any mobility issues, this is not the house for you - due to the steps up to the house (no handrail), the steep internal stairs and no access to close parking (as the neighbour constantly has a van, a car and a motorbike in the parking area opposite the house). The details provided in the house relating to general procedures are out of date - everything refers to Covid 19 and lockdown. Laundry procedures and bin collection responsibilities etc., require a clearer explanation.

Great views of the countryside front and back. The cottage itself is pleasant and reasonably furnished. Parking is a real problem. Only two decent spaces on the road outside and both of these are used by the neighbouring cottage. You are dependant on the neighbour’s goodwill to get a space. Without it you are parking a little way away on the roadway. The book of instructions in the cottage desperately needs updating. Currently it refers to equipment (such as the TV) which is not in use. There is a good shower but visitors need to know to ignore the fact that it appears slow to empty; if left it does so in time and, despite appearances, does not flood. Owners were very helpful when we raised the various problems with them on our arrival.
