Grace Cottage in Northumberland receives praise for its comfort, cosy atmosphere, and stunning views. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and the property's proximity to local amenities and scenic walks. The welcoming local pubs and the village's friendly atmosphere are also noted. Some guests mention a welcome pack, enhancing their stay.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Most guests find the cottage clean and well-presented, though a few mention issues with dust, mustiness, and a need for a more thorough cleaning. The majority of comments are positive, but the negative remarks slightly impact the overall impression.

The location is highly regarded for its beautiful views, proximity to local pubs, shops, and scenic walks. The village's friendly atmosphere is a highlight. Parking challenges are noted but do not significantly detract from the overall experience.

Guests consistently describe the cottage as cosy, comfortable, and warm, with special mentions of comfortable beds and a relaxing environment. Some concerns are raised about heating and window functionality, but these are not widespread.

The cottage is praised for its well-appointed kitchen and the inclusion of amenities like Wi-Fi and Netflix. However, some guests report maintenance issues such as a non-working shower and a need for minor repairs, which suggests room for improvement.

While guests mention a welcome pack and appreciate the provision of items like large mugs and a teapot, there are not enough references to consistent thoughtful gestures or gifts to accurately assess this category. Therefore, it is politely noted that such amenities are not guaranteed.

John's Chapel. We had an excellent 4 night stay at Grace Cottage, our party of 3 adults and two dogs had ample room in this well present property. The cottage itself has gas central heating in its two bedrooms and bathroom upstairs as well as cosy sitting room with wi-fi, t.v. with Netflix and log burner and well equipped kitchen downstairs. There's also as small yard to the rear with views of the surrounding Pennine hills. This is an excellent choice if you want a relaxing getaway with your family or friends with local walks and scenery, a couple of local village pubs, cafe, well stocked local store and craft shop. Further away are the delights of Durham and Barnard Castle these are around 40 minutes away by car. Carparking is the only thing that the property doesn't offer as carparking is on the road outside the front of Grace Cottage. Overall the property is well presented in a great location with local amenities, we will hopefully in the future be returning for a further stay. We highly recommend a visit.
