Furlongs is a fabulous property with ample space for up to ten guests to experience a special holiday in this most unique location. Furnished and equipped to exacting standards, the cottage offers all that one would wish for on a luxury break. Located at the end of a quiet lane not far from the centre of Abbotsbury village, Furlongs sits proudly just a few steps below the iconic 14th century St Catherine's Chapel. From every window the views are spectacular across the surrounding beautiful Dorset landscape, and you can stroll out of the front door to enjoy the popular village with its tea rooms, local pubs and shops, or nearby Swannery, Tropical Gardens or famous Chesil Beach.
With a choice of sitting rooms, the property is perfect for getting all the family together, and there’s also plenty of space for relaxing away from all the main activity in a separate snug. The generous property has three double bedrooms with super-king beds and two twin bedrooms with zip and link beds. The bespoke well-equipped kitchen has a natural limestone tiled floor, twin ovens and an American style fridge freezer and leads to the large, light filled dining space with french doors out onto the terrace and garden. Outside, there is a covered dining, barbecue and games area.

Babies are welcome at Furlongs but please bring your own travel cot. A highchair can be provided on request.
From the end of October to Easter, the garden furniture will be removed from the property due to the severity of the weather in Abbotsbury.
Hot tub hire is not permitted at this property.

What a dream find this place is!! Stunning property in a beautiful private location in a lovely village. There were 6adults, 3under a 3s and 3dogs on our family holiday and there was loads of room for all of us with our own space if and when needed. The light and airy kitchen and dining room provided us with lots of space to open up the doors and enjoy the gorgeous weather. Whilst the sitting room at the other end of the house provided a cooler relief when the sun and high pollen became too much. All the bedrooms are large with plenty of space in all rooms for a travel cot. The beds are lovely and large with good quality bedding. All the en suite s and bath room were excellent and very clean on arrival . All rooms are very well equipped and we wanted for nothing during our stay Fab outside space provided lots of room for the little people and dogs to enjoy their favourite games when the evenings cooled. A fabulous holiday that all of us agreed to do again very soon.

A beautifully presented but very comfortable house. Plenty of space for us all to spread out or be together and everything we could have possibly needed. Wonderfully comfortable beds and the surrounding area is just stunning. No real need to use the car as plenty of walks and views on the doorstep. The only thing we struggled with was working the central heating as the instructions left didn’t match the system in the rooms. Will definitely come again.

We have stayed at Furlongs as a family several times and the previous times it was excellent because the attention to detail was great . This time there were a few things that we found annoying , there were dog hairs in the bedroom and living areas and a large number of dog faeces on the lawn area. This rather spoilt the Easter egg hunt in the garden that we had planned with our three grandchildren ages 12m 18m and 4 . The kitchen equipment for previous stays had been very good but this time there weren't enough glasses and there was no oven glove and no clothes airer . Also it may have been down to the strong wind but the house seemed colder and more difficult to warm up using the heated floors. Overall we still had a good time and the house is very well situated for walks and trips out and entertaining but we felt that it was not as well prepared as in previous visits , maybe its the new letting company ?
