About this property

Cottage Cheese is a charming terrace house dating from the 1830s which has views from its bow window over Weymouth harbour and town and northwards across Weymouth Bay towards White Nothe and the chalk cliffs of Dorset. Renovated to a high standard, the new owners have replaced the kitchen and bathroom and added additional features such as a log burning stove. Their attention to detail ensures that all the furniture, fittings and accessories have been hand-picked to afford guests a luxurious visit. The Dorset cottage is in Trinity Terrace, high above the harbour in Weymouth and this pedestrian area benefits from a generally quieter location. However, walk down the side of the historic Holy Trinity church and you will reach the harbourside and iconic lifting bridge in a couple of minutes. From here you have a choice; in one direction is the harbourside where you may see a fishing boat landing their catch or a luxurious yacht moored. Hope Square, bordered with cafes, restaurants, a bistro and pub is a great place to enjoy an alfresco meal in the sun, or cosy up next to pub fire in the colder months. Walk in the other direction and across the town bridge, where the main town centre and beach are just a few minutes away. Weymouth is a favourite holiday location for many guests as it has so much to offer; renowned for its good weather, it is officially the third sunniest spot in the UK, visitor attractions including Sealife and The Nothe Fort, a pretty old harbour, a long and sandy beach and a variety of recommended restaurants and pubs. The World Heritage Jurassic coast occupies the coastline around Weymouth and has some breath-taking views and good fossil hunting. A visit to Cottage Cheese offers visitors a sumptuous stay whilst enjoying all the delights of Weymouth.
