About this property

With its quirky upside-down design, you can enjoy the outstanding views of Bowleaze Cove and over to Portland, along with the RSPB nature reserve to the rear of the property from the sitting and dining area on the first floor. Entering through the front door will lead you to the three downstairs bedrooms. Through the open patio doors enjoy the changing colours of the sky over the Weymouth bay and the Isle of Portland whilst lazily drinking your morning beverage.

The coastal path with access to walks along past Durdle Door to Lulworth Cove is just a stone's throw from the house. Adjacent to Bowleaze View and with outstanding views of the wonderful Jurassic coastline are The Harvester, perfect for a family dinner out, and Cafe Oasis, very popular for coffees and lunches with benches on the beach. Bowleaze View is ideally located to visit the many tourist attractions South Dorset has to offer such as Monkey World and the Tank Museum. A ten-minute stroll along the beach front will take you to Sea Life centre with its go karting, mini-golf, mini-steam train and Sandworld. A further ten minutes along The Esplanade will take you to the main Weymouth award winning beach and town centre.

Providing the ideal break for family or friends Bowleaze View is only a few minutes’ walk from the beach and coastal walks in Weymouth.

The ever popular resort of Weymouth makes an outstanding year-round holiday destination, with a wide variety of attractions on offer, appealing to all tastes and ages. The glorious golden sandy beach with its shallow waters provide excellent facilities for all kinds of watersports, whilst from the picturesque, bustling harbour you can take regular fishing trips. A short drive takes you to Portland Harbour, and the rugged “Isle” of Portland, linked to Weymouth by the dramatic Chesil Beach. Visit Dorchester, Thomas Hardy’s “Casterbridge”, only 7 miles away, or take a journey along the scenic coastal road and call in at Abbotsbury Swannery and Subtropical Gardens. This house and location is very nice and general cleanliness is OK. Facilities provided are good, but it felt like maintenance was lacking in a few areas as if the owner wasn't really the ones keeping an eye on it. Kitchen is nice & large but not very well organised. Utensils etc. are all over the place in different near empty cupboards making self catering a bit of a nightmare. Halogen hob is very slow to get going and took about 20 mins. to boil a pan of water! Freezer is pretty noisy and started beeping constantly towards the end of the holiday so we shut it down in case it was overworking. The driveway is definitely a challenge as it is so steep and depending on where the neighbours & their visitors park can be very awkward to get a run up to get out with a cold engine. Can't see how you could really practically have more than 2 cars off road without a LOT of shunting around.

I would say a real home from home but it was much better than that. The beds were comfy, the kitchen well equipped and a lovely main bathroom. Loved the views from the kitchen and lounge. Overall, we had a brilliant week in a beautiful property...

Kitchen items including frying pans dirty. Food bits including chips in oven. Fuse box kept tripping out when we turned lights on. Step leading up from house - one is cracked with piece missing so is dangerous. Piece of step broken on steps at side of house. Toilet in en suite is faulty and kept filling up continuously. No chain on kitchen sink plug. Very steep drive.
