About this property

This popular property with its own patio and stunning views that stretch out across Weymouth Bay to the island of Portland.

With a snug and calm sitting room that is combined with kitchen you will find you can relax after cooking a tasty meal and enjoy the beautiful views from the patio. Snuggle down and get well rested in the comfy first floor double ensuite bedroom and ground floor twin room with shower room ready for another day by the seaside.

Enjoy an alfresco dining opportunity on the patio, and watch the waves crash on the beach. For those more adventurous and looking for something new to try and burn all the energy, then why not try the various water sports, such as kite surfing, with local centres close by.

Walk along the esplanade which starts almost outside the front of Sea Spray and find yourself in Weymouth town centre and the main beach. This is a nice leisurely walk of about about a mile away. You will have lots of places to choose from to eat and shops to browse from high street to local boutique businesses. If you fancy staying more local to the property there is the Harvester and, on the doorstep, the Oasis cafe. A convenience store is just a moments’ walk away. Don’t forget to explore more of Dorset, with local buses running nearby to Dorchester, Lyme Regis and Bridport, they are a great way to take in the coastal scenery. Or if you prefer to drive, they are all under a hour away.

A perfect base for a couple or small family, with other properties being so close they are ideal for extended family or friends holidaying together.

Bowleaze is just behind Bowleaze Cove that is seated at the end of Weymouth’s long 3-mile beach front perched on the edge of Preston. A small sand and shingle beach is a popular choice for those who like to use Jet Ski’s as it’s one of the few areas on the beach front they can be used freely. A popular area of Weymouth offering beautiful views back towards Weymouth and Portland whilst only being a short distance from the main beach and town centre. There are many places to eat and you can join the south west coast path towards Osmington Mills, Ringstead and beyond from here. Predominantly a residential area, it’s perfect those who want to escape to the seaside but retain the tranquillity of a residential area.

It's a lovely cosy cottage, and equipped with everything we needed. Beautiful views of the sea across the bay. It was very helpful having the slope from the car park down to the path leading to the front door for our elderly family member, and then everything she needed on one floor. Unfortunately the local cafe, Oasis, had a marquee on the beach for 3 days which blocked half the view of the sea from the ground floor. We were pleased when this was taken down. We enjoyed exploring Weymouth and Portland, and Sea Spray is a good base for this.

Bonus having a car space for each cottage.Double mattress needs replacing, uncomfortable and can feel springs. Vacuuming between sofa cushions is a must and looks as though hasn’t been done for awhile. Vacuuming under beds too, false finger nail and accumulation of dust found. A boarder (perhaps two more of the planter that is there already) in the garden area between the two properties would be good as holidaymakers in adjacent property come across and it invades on privacy. Also, have witnessed holidaymakers climbing across the bushes over the wall into the oasis car park and back again, and also dragging kayaks and paddle boards over. And going into privately owned garden to access oasis car park. Have stayed in both holiday cottages & do find the garden area an issue.
