A delightful Grade II listed hamstone cottage, a former Quaker Meeting House, tucked away within an attractive conservation area of ancient Sherborne. Quaker Cottage is a superb getaway for a couple or a small family seeking to immerse themselves in the delights of Dorset with both the coast and countryside awaiting to be explored. This semi-detached Sherborne cottage has been lovingly renovated and furnished to an extremely high standard, cleverly combining lots of original character with contemporary convenience. The open-plan ground floor of this Sherborne cottage features a wealth of exposed beams, a charming fireplace with a woodburning stove, a super fitted kitchen and underfloor heating. As the evening draws to a close, venture up the staircase to find two well-appointed bedrooms, comprising of a king-size double and a single bedroom, boasting an additional pull-out bed to offer a flexible sleeping arrangement. If you don’t feel like cooking on evening, just a short walk from an abundance of restaurants and interesting shops, catering to all tastes and requirements. Sherborne has lots to offer visitors, with its lovely abbey and castles, whilst a short drive from this Sherborne cottage takes you to Stourhead's stunning house and gardens, historic Shaftesbury, majestic Salisbury Cathedral, or Roman Bath. A very special and romantic Sherborne cottage, one you'll want to return to time and again!

Set in the midst of stunning, unspoilt countryside, the picturesque buildings, ancient inns and quaint shops of the ancient town of Sherborne, line the banks of the River Yeo. This charming, rural settlement is probably best known for its beautiful abbey and two imposing castles - the newer of which dates back to 1594 and boasts incredible Tudor landscaped gardens. Sherborne is a great place for sightseeing, or simply having an afternoon stroll along the riverbank, though if you're looking for more activities, a short drive will take you the stunning Stourhead house and gardens. The wonderful Dorset heritage Coast is well worth a visit and just across the Somerset border is the fabulous Fleet Air Arm Museum, situated at Yeovilton. With its displays of historic aircraft – including the Concorde – this trip is interesting for aviation enthusiasts and fans of military history.
