About this property

A cosy cottage for two set on a working dairy farm in the Dorset countrysideA cosy cottage for two set on a working dairy farm in the Dorset countryside

With a setting on a working dairy farm in rural Dorset, Meadow View is the perfect bolthole for two. This one bedroom cottage is an idyllic retreat for those of you who love to get away from the madding crowd, and the chance to explore the farm and greet the farm’s resident animals makes a stay extra special.

Inside, the cottage’s spacious living area makes a welcoming place to sit back and enjoy the peace and quiet, and the doors leading outside are perfect for when you fancy stepping out onto your furnished terrace. The communal garden has plenty of space to lie back with a book or enjoy a picnic on a sunny day, and we can’t think of a more peaceful setting for some time out than on the friendly Pilsdon Farm.

If you’re planning your first break away as mums and dads, babies are welcome and you’ll find a cot and high chair available to make things easier…and just imagine the little one’s face when they catch sight of the farm animals! You’ll find Meadow View on the Pilsdon Farm, and with the market town of Bridport and the coastal resort of Lyme Regis less than half an hour away by car it’s a great base for discovering Dorset too.

To accommodate groups of up to 10 guests, Benoy Cottage and Heather Cottage can also be booked.

This is our second visit to this farm, this is our first stay in this cottage which we found comfortable and homely, it has a lovely rural location but within easy reach of the main towns, Bridport, Westbay, Lyme Regis and Axminster all around 20 minutes drive. On our arrivel to the cottage there where fresh warm homemade scones, clotted cream, jam, butter, milk, tea, coffee and Suger and a nice farm house loaf which went down very well after our journey. Thanks for the lovely stay and warm welcome, will be back very soon.
