Heather Cottage is a cosy and quaint cottage set at the heart of a working dairy farm, surrounded by the beautiful West Dorst countryside. From here a herd of 450 pedigree Holstein cows are milked.

The cottage is furnished to a high standard with a spacious open plan kitchen and dining area, perfect for family dining and special occasions. Outside, there is a large shared garden with beautiful views of the farm and local countryside.

The historic market town of Bridport is within easy reach for those who wish to take advantage of the various shops and cafes, with an art centre also available. Bridport also has a popular street market on Saturdays and Wednesdays with an array of stalls selling crafts and local produce.

The property is also well positioned for exploring the Jurassic coastline, a World Heritage site famous for its seaside towns and glorious beaches. With Lyme Regis just a short drive away, this is the perfect location if you wish to spend some time on the beach, take a boat trip or spend an afternoon fossil hunting.

To accommodate groups of up to 10 guests, Benoy Cottage and Meadow View can also be booked.

...but we loved that. The cottage was so warm and cosy and we were able to wander around the farm to see the cows being milked which the children loved. We had lots of walks along the beaches and also enjoyed the swimming pool at the Jurassic Fun centre. We made memories to last! Submitted by Lucy on 08/12/2016

...lanes we were so relieved and surprised to find a modern farm conversion on a working farm. The accommodation had everything that we could wish for and the standard of equipment in the kitchen was excellent. Having our 8 year old grand-daughter with us we were a little concerned about farm machinery and the fact that we were on a high-tech dairy farm but Simon, the farmer soon put her at ease and introduced her to the new born calves and from then on she was captivated and every morning would rush down to see how many new ones had been born. Both Simon and Catherine seemed to have time to talk to us and answer questions despite having a very busy schedule and also trying to get ready for their own holiday. The local area is so quiet and there are lots of local walks with interest for young adventurers and the whole area including Bridport,Charmouth and Lyme Regis has plenty to attract and interest all manner of activities. There are so many really good inexpensive eating places and super beaches, really everything that a family could wish for. Since arriving home we have told so many friends about Heather Cottage, but not too many to avoid getting booked up foer the next holiday season! Submitted by Leslie on 06/06/2016

...Heather Cottage was just perfect. lovely and clean, furnished to a very high specification. It is in a very remote location which may be a factor for some. The owners were very friendly and welcoming, providing home made scones and bread, wchih was a reall treat. Would highly recommend the accomodation. Submitted by Christine on 04/05/2016
