Little Britain is a very smart Portland stone style property in a location which is perfect for strolling into the heart of the county town of Dorchester which has a great combination of shopping, historical and visitor attractions. A traditional high street peppered with well-known shops is complemented by lanes accommodating charming boutique shops and independents. The town boasts more than four museums including one dedicated to dinosaurs and another to teddy bears. The beautiful borough gardens have tennis courts, play area and band stand. The house was comfortable and in a quiet backwater, both of which were much appreciated. The art works in the house were a very pleasant surprise. I discovered that some of these had been the work of the owner and this was delightful. The house was well equipped and very nicely presented. It was a very handy base staying there as the location makes for easy access to Dorchester town centre. The facilities were excellent with every modern convenience. Stayed July 2018
