Lilac Cottage is a Grade II listed thatched stone cottage situated in the heart of beautiful Burton Bradstock with its narrow twisting lanes, picturesque river walks and the stunning Jurassic coast, beach and cliffs a mere few minutes' walk away. The cottage is known to be one of the oldest in this pretty village having been built some 350 years ago and is an ideal location for both country and coastal lovers. Updated in 2015, the cottage has been fully redecorated and newly furnished with a palette of contemporary cool greys. A new bathroom and refreshed kitchen complete the renovation of the cottage and give an interior design magazine feature feel. Lilac Cottage is within a short walk of two 'centuries old' public houses, one being famous for its award winning restaurant, so booking in advance is recommended. An outing to West Bay, which is less than 2 miles away, gives you a chance to explore the colourful fishing harbour and to sample some of the locally caught crabs and lobsters. Bridport, with its busy farmers market and weekly antiques and collectables market, is just 2 miles away. If you prefer golf, visitors are made welcome throughout the year at the nearby West Dorset Golf Club. Lilac Cottage is the perfect base to explore the whole of the Jurassic coastline.
Accommodation: Ground floor: Lounge. Kitchen/dining room. Bathroom, bath with shower over, hand basin and toilet. 1st floor: Bedroom 1, king size double bed. Bedroom 2, superking 6ft wide bed or twin single beds. The garden which is accessed via steps is fully enclosed and has a patio and lawned area.
Services in addition to standard equipment: WiFi, Gas central heating, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher. Blu ray DVD Player. Digital radio. Garden furniture. Travel cot, high chair and stair gate. On road parking subject to availability. Bed linen inclusive, please state requirements when booking. No smoking inside the cottage.
Please note: The front door to the cottage is ornamental and access is via a side gate which opens directly onto the main coast road which passes through the village (see picture 2), therefore care must be taken.

Very comfortable cottage. Excellent hot water, bed, TV, kitchen, etc. Lovely not to have to get in the car with Bertie (Cockerpoo) to enjoy the beach – stayed September 2018

Having an amazing holiday in Lilac Cottage, it is so gorgeous here. The weather is lovely, the Burton Bradstock beach is on our door step. It's great having the garden to relax in as well. We have been to Lyme Regis, Bridport, West Bay and later today we are going to out to Weymouth. Lilac Cottage is so lovely, the perfect size for us. Thank you for letting us have your cottage this week, I am sure we will come again – stayed August 2018.

This cottage has everything you need. It's clean, well decorated, spacious, cosy and ideally situated (near 2 pubs!). Is on a busy road so take note if you have small children or pets staying. Stayed August 2018.
