Lilliput is a charming detached holiday cottage tucked quietly away in the beautiful Dorset village of Shipton Gorge. Just two miles from the stunning Jurassic coastline and surrounded by breath taking countryside, this cottage offers the best of all worlds. For those seeking an ideal country walking base or explorers of our rugged historic coastline to those who seek the peace and tranquillity of countryside bird song and a slower pace of life. All can be found enjoying their time at Lilliput. With a sunny garden and terrace, stocked with beautiful plants and bird feeders you'll be sure to just sit back and relax and unwind whilst the birds dance on the feeders. If you look in the guest book you will seek previous guests listing the bird visitors they have seen and challenging following guests to do the same. Once you have relaxed and feel ready to explore further afield, you will, Burton Bradstock, Hive Beach, West Bay, Bridport are just a short drive away. Those looking for more adventure can have a little longer drive to Abbotsbury, the Isle of Portland, Weymouth, Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door to the East, those venturing further West will find , Golden Cap, Charminster and Lyme Regis. All this makes Lilliput the perfect getaway at any time of the year.
Accommodation: Kitchen. Dining Room with patio doors to garden. Lounge. Downstairs shower room with hand basin and toilet. Bedroom 1, twin single beds or zip and link kingsize double bed. Stairs to first floor, Bedroom 2, double bed. Bedroom 3, double bed. Bathroom with bath (shorter than standard), hand basin and toilet.
Additional services: Wifi. Freezer. Flat screen TVs in lounge and bedrooms 1 and 2. Gas central heating. Garage 2.4m x 4.8m, plus parking for a small car in front of garage, accessed a short way along an unmade, unlit road. Bed linen and towels included.
Pets: Please note that whilst the owners' of Lilliput welcomes two well behaved pets, they are not to be left unattended in the property at any time. The nearby eating places such as The New Inn, The Anchor and Hive Beach Cafe are all dog friendly.
This property is not suitable for children under five or those with limited mobility due to the stepped/sloped access to the property (24 steps) from the parking area (please see steps from parking area to property - photo no. 24)

Good communication with Dream Cottages. Excellent cottage, great for exploring this part of the Dorset coast. Very comfortable and roomy, well presented and equipped. Owners left tea, milk, biscuits for our arrival as well. Stayed August 2018

A thoroughly charming cottage set in a beautiful garden. Extremely well equipped. There is just about everything you need for a restful break. Highly recommended. Only minor detail I would mention is that the bath is small. However, the shower was excellent. Stayed June 2018
