"It was a beautiful cottage in a stunning location. However the plaster above the window came off one morning. It was a little old fashioned and the chairs in the living room were uncomfortable."

"A cosy cottage in a wonderful setting."
    Sue ‐ 30 Oct 2017
"We loved this cottages location and would love to return. The cottage is in desperate need of updating. All you need is there but all a bit shabby and not the cleanest. We have heard it is going to be updated but then become NO Dogs, this would be a great shame. PLEASE PLEASE KEEP IT DOG FRIENDLY."
    Nicholas ‐ 16 Oct 2017
"Love this place, the cottage and location and have stayed here several times. We like it particularly as it accomodates pets (dog)."
    Sue ‐ 13 Oct 2017
"We have stayed at this cottage 8 times - the location is fabulous and the cottage is very homely. It is perfect for dogs as the front and rear gardens are enclosed. Fantastic walks straight from the doorstep. The cottage is in need of a a bit of of tlc and I understand it is going to be re vamped. I really hope that once it is revamped dogs will still be welcome here as we would be extremely sad if we were unable to come back here."

"This is the second time we have stayed at 7 S19929s. The location is wonderful, and the cottage itself is old, and unique. It is well equipped. However, we did experience some issues this year.* I had to replace five light bulbs in the living /dining area to be able to see after dark. The local agent replaced another four, with three in the kitchen.* One of the easy chairs had a broken leg, and was unsafe (it tipped my 29 year old son out!) Not an issue at 29 and physically fit, but I'm not sure how well it would have been if I had been the one to be tipped out, as I have pretty bad arthritis.* The top oven does not work at all, and the grill takes perhaps 15-20 minutes to warm up.* The garden umbrella was broken, and could not be used.I feel I left the cottage cleaner than I found it, but the location is so good I would want to return."

"a perfect place for our family, age range 18 months to 70! Location incredible, and perfect base to explore the dorset coast with our two dogs"

"Very enjoyable as per last year when we stayed in the same cottage, however we feel the cottage could do with some TLC in the form of a refresh of the decor and and overall cleanliness."
    Sally
"7 CoastGuard is beautifully situated very close to the Cove but it is not private. The cottage is tired and in need of refurbishment, the plumbing leads a lot to be desired. The cottage has huge potential."

    "Great locationMinutes from the beach"

"Wonderful location. Lovely cottage but in need of a little tlc."
    rachel
"This cottage is in a fantastic location with lots of walks straight from the door , our dog loved it. The facilities in the cottage are basic but adequate. The shower is pretty poor. But the beds are really comfortable with great views from the front bedrooms. It took us ages to find the WiFi code - on a small sticker on the box on the kitchen wall."
    Angela
"Loved our Easter break at this cottage. Lovely views . Near good amenities. Dogs welcome everywhere. Would like to stay again."
    Mary
"Fantastic location for relaxed holiday by the sea"
    Nichola
"We had a lovely holiday and the location of the cottage really cannot be faulted. Fortunately, we had fantastic weather and spent very little time inside the cottage; it's under equipped, we had to wash everything up, the whole place did really need a good clean and a lick of paint. The layout of the cottage is particularly bizarre and the lounge very uncomfortable. This cottage has the potential to be amazing with a little bit of work. As it stands it is expensive for what it is."
    helen
"we loved this location and enjoyed the space in the cottage and the patio outside which is a real sun trap."
    Nick
"Lovely cottage, amazing location. Have stayed in better equipped places but this place has such a homely feel, a place you can feel comfortable. Great that it is dog friendly. Lovely front garden to sit in the sun and enjoy the view. This was our 3rd visit and we will definitely stay again."
    Colleen
"Lovely location if you are wanting a relaxed time with some walking. The cottage is good just could have been cleaner. Also needed the first aid kit but could not use anything as all out of date. E.g. Tea tree ointment 2006. Crazy. Also shower kept going cold so could only bath. Overall not too bad."

"We loved this cottage and would consider staying again if the cottage was updated and needs a good deep clean. It is very spacious it slept 7 with ease and the beds were comfy. We had an enjoyable stay."

"Fantastic cottage and didn't need the West Country stoop even though I'm 6ft 1"

"Gorgeous cottage with the most beautiful view! Will definitely stay here again."
    Helen
"The shower and furniture in the sitting room are really poor - and it should be possible to get 7 seats in the sitting room if you ditched those sofas (after all it isn't cheap) but the location is absolutely stunning."
    Simon
"This 7 person holiday let was very good value for money and we will be returning to West Lulworth next year."
    Mrs Lynne
"We love the cottage and it's location. The beds are very uncomfortable and the cutlery and glasses etc are not very good ☺We liked having the wifi"
    Babette
"We had a wonderful time and Lullworth cove is really splendid. We did think the beautiful coast guard cottage really needed a deep clean. There were really enough glasses of fir rent variety. The resident neighbours were delightful and very helpful. The fish shop had a great array of fresh fish. All in all a wonderful holiday and a lovely collation"

"We have been regular visitors for some years now but if there is one thing that annoys me every time it's that they haven't done anything about the dreadful shower, there would be more pressure just putting the old fashioned shower spray on the taps!"
    Helen
"We had a lovely holiday .location is perfect right by the cove and lovely walk to Durdle Door. Lovely pub round the corner and lots of cafes etc lovely to bring the dog. Cottage is fine could do with a little tlc. Beds comfortable. Shower terrible boiling hot and very feeble but you can have a nice bath just don't try and wash your hair !"
    Kate
"Lovely cottage in a beautiful area. Expensive compared to other cottages we have stayed in but worth it for the views. Great that it is a dog friendly property. Cosy cottage to come back to . It was our second stay there and we definitely hope to return."
    Marcia
"Fabulous cottage and location. The only problem we encountered was one of our dogs didn't like the range guns so we had to time our walks. Having said that, we would definitely stay again, one of the best locations we have stayed at. Views to die for and the local pubs were brilliant as well, all so dog friendly. Well done on a lovely cottage. We had a brilliant time. Thanks."
    John
"A great place to stay. Possibly the decorative state is a bit 'tired' but it was clean and tidy and we didn't go there to look at wallpaper etc. so we were quite content. Can't fault the location."
    Paula
"Very well equipped cottage in a prefect location. Beach only 2 minute walk away with private parking. Will return again."
    Jeannette
"Fantastic cottage in a magical area which means so much to us and that we had permission to include our third dog meant a lot to us We have stayed may times in the area both at Spring Cottage and Rose Cottage We have family ties to Lulworth as my husbands maternal Grandmother was from the Williams family of Lulworth Cove Fisherman"
    chris
"A nice cottage a stones throw away from the beautiful Lulworth Cove. I stayed on my own for 4 nights whilst in the area on business in Jan 2016 so with the winter weather some of the rooms in the cottage were freezing, especially both bathrooms. I can imagine its lovely with all windows open and sitting in the front garden in the peak of summer. The views are outstanding. Kitchen was well stocked and it has a log burner in the living room - very cosy. To me the cottage felt haunted. It was quite creepy at night due to the layout of the upper and lower floors (long corridors, bedrooms with single beds all linked via various doors). I would stay again but I would take someone with me and go in the peak of summer."

"This was an amazing place to spend Christmas - fabulous walks, great accommodation, kitchen much better equipped than expected. Wifi would be an advantage, but I can understand the 'get away from it all' atmosphere!!"
    Mandy
"Great location but even in October Lulworth Cove is a busy place. Cottage was comfortable size for 4 adults and 2 dogs. Great walks nearby. Car park appears to be fairly secure but someone collided with our car and drove off so take care!"
    Sue
"Fourth visit! - fantastic location and very comfortable cottage"
    Neil
"Great location for walks, views, pubs & restaurants.Private parking a real bonus on busy days.Cottage looking a little tired. OK facilities but some issues previously raised in the guest book still outstanding such as the broken chair in the lounge. If this was occupied by 7 persons it would require some additional items of equipment and a full size dishwasher.Would recommend and would visit again."
    Dee
"Excellent location. Great cottage, could do with a lick of paint in places."
    Michaela
"Fantastic location.Would have liked WiFi, DVD Player, BBQ and some seating in the back garden."

"Fantastic location. Would have liked WiFi, DVD Player, BBQ and some seating in the back garden."
    Georgina
"Fantastic and stunning location, lovely warm and homely cottage, very friendly neighbours who own their cottage next door and fabulous views. The cottage needs some TLC to keep it in-line with its Grade 2 listed status. I think the cottage is being overcharged, as you are paying for the view and location, not the cottage, as it's being dealt an injustice by not being tidied up and given the due care it requires."
    Lynn
"The cottage was delightful and had everything we needed. Fantastic location. I had originally been hesitant in booking due to some reviews saying the cottage was tired and needed updating. However, we loved the character and the space available in the cottage as we had two large dogs.We have tried to book the cottage for a week in September but unfortunately it was not available so we have booked Spring Cottage. Just wanting to rebook says it all."
    San
"Fab location and great cottage Enhancement could be wifi and more modern bathroom s but other than that v good Would go again"
    Di
"A lovely home from home in a perfect location. Thank you."
    Gillian
"We really enjoyed this cottage holiday. In terms of other places stayed there were little comforts missing but after reading the visitors book any previous complaints made had been rectified. It is after all a very old building. The front garden was delightful and the position of the cottage couldn't be beaten. We would definitely stay here again."
    Sue
"second visit to S19929 - just lovely, perfect location - brilliant for the dogs - stunning view"
    Germaine
"Absolutely beautiful & picturesque .... Loved our stay x"
    John
"Great location. Everything you need is supplied but the property could do with some updating. The central heating works well and the solid fuel burner in the lounge is a nice addition. The paved front garden is handy for the dog."
    Rebecca
"I had the initial misfortune of speaking to the lady who owned the property , who , for whatever reason made me feel that I was less than welcome ... and didnt bode well for the holiday . The cottage is wonderful - however it is very dated with white woodchip wallpaper throughout in 2015!!! The kitchen facilities are poor - blatently cheap pans etc ...The cottage is desperately in need of a full refurb - however - the location is stunning . The pictures do not do the location any justice at all . Distance to the beach being just yards away - and the local people are truly gorgious ! The 2 fisherman who fish off the cove bring the catch right onto the shore- then 10 yards to their shack to sell it... so buying there is a must ... only yards from your front door .Overall , cottage a disapointment internally , but is made up for by its stunning location -"
    Sally
"We enjoyed our sray great location and views. It was difficult to get a radio signal and the tv had poor reception. Apart from that it was a good stay"

"The location of this cottage is fantastic, you couldn't get much closer to Cove itself if you tried. The interior of the cottage is however, very tired and in desperate need of an update."
    Cathy
"Fantastic location. This cottage needs a total overhaul. "
    Jane
"Great Location, comfortable cottage, spent most of the time on the patio looking at the views. Excellent walks, swimming and love the fresh fish shack. Do not need the car once there! Perfect."
    Natasha
"Fabulous location and great that this is a dog friendly cottage. Very much enjoyed our long weekend stay. Slight niggles would be that there was no wifi (if needed), signal for the TV was quite poor and could do with some new crockery. Would definitely stay here again but hope these changes are made and I would then score this 10!"
    Victoria
"The cottage was lovely and in a great location. We were a family ranging from 11-65 and everyone had a great time, including 2 dogs!!Tv could do with updating. "
