Snaptrip says

Mappowder Cottage is a well-received holiday rental, praised for its peaceful rural setting, comfortable beds, and well-equipped facilities. Guests appreciate the secure garden, the property's cleanliness, and the thoughtful touches from the welcoming host, such as a bottle of wine. While some guests mention minor issues with comfort and maintenance, the overall experience is one of relaxation and enjoyment amidst the beautiful Dorset countryside.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Most guests found the cottage clean and inviting, with fresh flowers and a well-maintained garden. However, a few guests noted issues with cleanliness, such as dirty kitchenware and dust, which slightly lowers the score.

The cottage's remote, rural location is highly valued for its tranquility and scenic views, with easy access to local attractions. The peacefulness is a highlight, although the remoteness requires driving to visit places of interest.

Guests consistently report that the beds are very comfortable and the cottage is cosy, with a few noting that some furniture could be more comfortable. The spaciousness and warmth of the cottage contribute to a high comfort level.

The cottage is generally well-equipped and offers good facilities, including a secure garden and Wi-Fi. Some guests experienced minor issues with maintenance and appliances, but these do not significantly detract from the overall positive feedback.

The host's thoughtfulness is frequently mentioned, with guests appreciating the welcome pack and personal touches. While such gifts are warmly received, it is noted that they are a gracious bonus and not a guaranteed amenity.

Stylish, Rural, peaceful. Comfortable beds, fully furnished. No light pollution meaning all the stars can be clearly seen. Fenced in garden area with table & chairs. My two dogs loved it. Would definitely stay again. Went into close by towns Weymouth,Dorset & Poundbury. To the hosts thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful cottage. x

The cottage had everything we needed and more, rooms clean and tidy, lots of space for our dog to roam around. The owner was there to meet us, very helpful and gave us all the information we needed regarding the cottage and local area. Would highly recommend and i will be returning for another relaxing break next year.
