In the tiny Devon hamlet of Wonson near the village of Throwleigh on Dartmoor, this welcoming cottage has been meticulously converted with two attached cottages from a long stone barn. A steep drive leads to the parking area at the front beside a friendly little pub. You will be struck by the light and airy living space, where everything has been hand built and thoughtfully designed for your comfort. Off the kitchen, with its dining area, a utility room has been considerately equipped with space for drying your walking boots and coats. After your Dartmoor walks, snuggle down beside the wood burning stove in the bright living room, before heading upstairs for a good night's sleep in one of three bedrooms, all en suite. Behind the cottage you have your own private enclosed garden with granite table and bench, or enjoy a drink in the little pub garden to the front which has views over countryside to the moors. This is a perfect place for keen walkers, being on the ancient Mariners Way and adjoining a beautiful area of Dartmoor. The moorland village of South Zeal and town of Chagford offer a variety of welcoming inns, and Okehampton town with its cinema, leisure centre, cycle track and heritage railway is only five miles away. Moorhaven is a fantastic base for enjoying Dartmoor and traditional Devon life.

A picturesque town at the northern point of Dartmoor National Park in Devon, Chagford is small in size but is packed with amenities and things to do. There is a wide range of shops as well as four pubs. Chagford also has more active facilities such as public tennis court and an open-air swimming pool to enjoy at your leisure.

The cottage has a good-sized utility room where wet coats and laundry can be dried over-night as it houses the central heating and hot water tank meaning it is always warm
