About this property

… on the edge of Mary Tavy, with spectacular views over farm and moorland towards the distant sea at Plymouth Sound, a very spacious, single-storey cottage, snug behind the owner’s smallholding (horses, ponies, chickens, cats, dogs, pigs) and with direct access to the open moor from a side gate. At one end, an enclosed, level, lawned garden and patio (table/chairs).

Step up from the garden into smart, very well-equipped kitchen/dining room (slimline dishwasher, washer-drier, fridge-freezer, microwave). Large living room with leather sofas, woodburner, TV/DVD and French windows to garden. Pretty double bedroom (6’ bed). Large bathroom (suite with separate walk-in shower with seat). "Our third stay at this cottage which maybe says it all. Lovely cottage in a beautiful part of the country, with easy access to the moor. Well cared for and converted barn, friendly and helpful owners but unobtrusive."

  • Holidaymaker

"One of the best equipped holiday homes we've ever stayed in. The owners have really thought of and provided everything. My big requirements are a good shower and a large bed, and those were exceptionally good at this property. Also wine, home-made fruitcake, and their own eggs provided for us, along with some other items to get started. Good broadband, good lighting, etc. I wish all holiday lets were as good!"

  • Nick and Margaret

"A lovely, comfortable, well equipped cottage in a fantastic location, with walks nearby and lots of interesting places to visit. Tavistock has good shops, supermarkets and a Panier market."
