Snaptrip says

Peek A Boo cottage in Beaworthy, Devon, offers a warm, cosy, and comfortable stay with an enclosed area for pets and peaceful countryside walks. Guests appreciated the cream tea on arrival and found the property well-equipped, though some noted areas for improvement. The site features a swimming pool and fishing lake, adding to the charm of this rural retreat.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The cottage received mixed feedback on cleanliness. While some guests found it spotless and well-maintained, others reported mustiness, cobwebs, and cleanliness issues upon arrival. The property seems generally clean, but attention to detail could be improved.

The location is praised for its peacefulness and proximity to local attractions like Bude and Tintagel. The surrounding countryside offers lovely walks, although some guests were dissatisfied with the view due to a nearby derelict cottage.

Guests found the cottage cosy and the swimming pool a comfortable temperature. However, some guests mentioned an uncomfortable bed and issues with the bathroom facilities, suggesting that comfort levels may vary.

Facilities like the swimming pool and fishing lake are highlights, but maintenance issues such as a broken toilet seat, a musty smell, and a non-functional fridge detract from the overall experience. The presence of a derelict cottage also negatively impacts the site's aesthetics.

The provision of a cream tea on arrival and a bottle of milk were thoughtful touches that guests appreciated. However, it should be noted that such gestures are subject to change and may not be guaranteed for every stay.

When we first got there a dog bed had been put in the wardrobe it stunk we put it in a cupboard. The tv we were unable to watch there was so much interference and cutting out having no signal. I reported it to Sally who said she spoke with an engineer and had sorted it.she left us a phone number for the engineer we thought it wasn’t down to us to sort the owner should have. Unfortunately that wasnt the case. We couldn’t listen to music instead as the music centres power lead didn’t even reach the power point I had to use my phone instead. There was no washing machine in the cottage just a dishwasher I’d rather have had a washing machine I didn’t use it. There was a washing machine on site which I didn’t want to use. I would have had to stay with it until it had finished washing to then put it on an airer I wouldn’t have put it on the shared line. We actually went home a day earlier then we should have we had had enough. I certainly wouldn’t stay there again. Devon’s council should be ashamed of themselves all the road and I do mean all had craters not just pot holes they were huge and deep how we didn’t burst a tyre I’ll never know, such a shame in a beautiful county

Very well equipped and spotless - everything provided. ( a grab rail and rubber bath mat would have been useful though for us oldies using the very good shower) We liked the enclosed area at the cottage which was safe for our dog and we loved the peaceful surrounding countryside walks. We forgot swimwear so did not use the pool. A cream tea for our arrival was much appreciated. Thanks for a lovely stay.
