This delightful property has been recently renovated to a high standard.  Having been sympathetically converted to take advantage of the stunning Devon countryside views which surround the property, Butterflies Rest helps provide a haven for those wishing to get away from it all, enjoying a morning cuppa or evening glass of wine whilst listening to the sound of bird song is a real and often rare delight. Situated on a family run working beef and sheep farm, there is also opportunity to help feed the resident goats. Just a few minutes’ drive brings you to Winkleigh or North Tawton both with village stores and pubs.  Within a pleasant half an hour journey you can be on the iconic Dartmoor National Park which is clearly visible from the property and its surroundings, whilst the fishing port of Bideford with its quay, shops, pubs and cafes or Torrington, home to the world famous Dartington Glass and RHS Gardens Rosemoor are also just a scenic drive away.  A footpath from the property provides a pleasant 15 minute walk and leads down to the River Taw which signifies the start of the Tarka Trail, a picturesque route which follows the course of the old railway line throughout Devon popular with walkers and cyclists. **Butterflies Rest can be booked inconjuction with Birds Nest at a 10% discounted rate** (if no other special offers applicable).

Entering the kitchen/dining area you immediately feel a welcome to this warm, light and spacious property.  Comfortable seating around the table allows you to collect your thoughts or enjoy a catch up whilst being part of the meal time preparations. The well equipped kitchen has plenty of room and French doors which lead out to the private paved patio area with relaxed seating, table and barbecue. The warm and comfortable living room has a large Smart TV and picture window framing distance views of the church, countryside and Dartmoor. Carpeted stairs from the living room head up to the spacious landing with window and framed local scene. Three bedrooms lead off from the landing. Double with TV, twin and single. The bedrooms all have views of the patio area and surrounding countryside beyond. The rooms share a pleasant family bathroom which has a shower over the bath, towel rail and large velux window. Radiators throughout create a warm and cosy retreat in which to spend time with family and friends. The owners have taken care in giving the property an individual touch with framed local photos taken by family members and thought has been given in continuing the countryside theme through the décor and furnishings.

Outside you have your own private patio with barbecue, comfortable seating and large table ideal for balmy summer evenings or just simply a place to have breakfast and plan your day. An additional communal grassed picnic area is available close by with children’s picnic table and bench for their own special tea party!
