Snaptrip says

The Barton in BIDEFORD, Devon, is a charming cottage that has received praise for its perfect location, friendly hosts, and well-equipped kitchen. Guests have enjoyed the property's proximity to local shops and coastal areas, as well as the welcoming atmosphere created by the owners. While some guests have noted areas for improvement, the overall sentiment is positive, with many looking forward to returning.

Guests that stayed at this property said

Reviews are mixed regarding cleanliness. Some guests found the property well-presented and tidy, while others noted it could benefit from a deeper clean, particularly in the lounge and dining areas. The presence of a few negative comments suggests room for improvement.

The location is highly praised for being ideal for exploring North Devon, with easy access to local shops, coastal areas, and attractions. Its setting in the countryside offers a peaceful retreat, contributing to a positive experience.

Comfort receives positive remarks with guests mentioning large rooms and a warm atmosphere. However, some guests experienced issues with heating and suggested improvements in the provision of bathroom facilities, indicating some inconsistency in comfort levels.

Facilities are generally appreciated, especially the well-equipped kitchen and the presence of modern amenities. However, comments about maintenance issues, such as unpainted door frames and a broken dishwasher, suggest that while some renovations are excellent, others are less satisfactory.

There is insufficient information to accurately assess thoughtfulness as there are no specific mentions of gifts or special touches provided by the hosts that would indicate their level of thoughtfulness towards guests.

Double bedroom very nicely decorated and bed and bedding very comfortable. Living room and other bedrooms a bit tired looking. It would have been great if there had been some staple cupboard supplies/condiments such as salt, pepper, oil etc . Also more dishwasher tablets would have been useful (3 for 8 people for 4 days is not quite enough), as would more tea towels (one wasnt enough) and a draining board.

You are out in the countryside, yet 5-10 mins from local shops which is so handy. Then you have Westwood Ho 10-15mins away. A perfect Easter bank holiday. Thank you
