Nestled within glorious Devon countryside, in the grounds of the owners’ home and just a mile from the Cornish border, it is the ideal spot from which to explore this stunning location. Just 1½ miles from the breathtaking Tamar Lakes where fishing, sailing, lakeside walks and water sports are available. The ideal spot at any time of year with fishing, golf, riding, surfing, sailing and walking all available in this stunning area. Superb beaches at Sandymouth and Bude, and many pretty fishing villages to explore including nearby Clovelly. Bradworthy, with its historic church, thriving village inn and a good selection of village shops, is just 2 miles. Beach 7 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.

    "The cottage is finished to a very high standard and suited our needs very well. It was clean and well appointed with everything we could wish to have in a holday cottage.However the only down-side was the location (which we should of researched prior to booking). You cannot get anywhere without using very narrow lanes - which became more of a problem as the week went on. You have to use the car to go anywhere to get food."

    "A comfortable cottage, well equipped and very well kept. Owners were friendly and helpful. Quite remote and right against a lane so we were aware whenever a car passed, although this was not that often. Nice to be able to buy produce from the owners who keep a stall on the road. A pleasant environment with easy parking right outside the door. Very good if you don't mind driving each day to the many interesting places to visit and in particular the dramatic coast."

    "Just arrived back from 1 weeks stay at S19171. Both Sue and Brian were very friendly hosts who would do anything requested of them if they could. In a more central location this cottage would be ideal. We may still return at some time and would reccommend it to family and friends.Terry and Sue from Coventry."

    "Just had a wonderful week at S19171. It was just what we wanted, a comfortable, quiet and well equipped holiday home and the lovely owners who lived opposite were on hand if needed and they had left us a cream tea on our arrival. Transport is required as they are really in the beautiful Devon countryside. We did lots of walking and thoroughly enjoyed the whole week. Found some fairly decent local hostelries for supper and also cooked at S19171. Bought eggs and vegetables from the owners who have a lovely small holding with chicken and sheep. I hope that we can go back for another few days break as it’s a gem of a place."

    "Beautiful holiday let. Owners very welcoming, cream tea left for us was just perfect. However, feel that with cottages in owners grounds, it should be pointed out in brochure where the cottage actually is based in the grounds. S19171 is in the owners front garden straight opposite their house. They are by no means intruding but if its privacy you want then this might not be for you."

    "Loved our stay .. hosts were lovely , we don’t usually stay in property that is on owners land .. but they were so unobtrusive it made no difference .. but if and when needed them they where on hand .. lovely scones as a welcome and very easy to find .. we arrived in the middle of night to avoid traffic .. and was not a problem .. great weather too and lovely BBQ in our little enclosed garden .."

    "S19171 is a fantastic holiday cottage for those seeking a break that's away from it all. It is spotlessly clean and very nicely designed, making good use of the space and with good quality furnishing. Sue and Brian made us very welcome (lit the fire for our arrival etc) and were available if needed, but left us to relax unless called on. We had a great stay - and I must say that the property was great value for money. Local amenities were limited - but thats fine! Very happy to recommend. Book with confidence."
