This privately owned detached lodge is quietly situated on a 114 acre landscaped site with access to rolling lawned areas with trees and shrubs and surrounded by spectacular countryside. Approached by a long lane, well off the Atlantic Highway between Bideford and Bude, Hartland Forest offers an ideal setting to enjoy a truly relaxing holiday. The dramatic National Trust coastline around Hartland and picturesque fishing villages and coves of Clovelly and Bucks Mills are less than 5 miles. The whole of  the Hartland Peninsular is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is an unspoilt landscape of high cliffs, tumbling waterfalls, wooded valleys and flower meadows. The shops, cafes and surfing beaches of Bude and Westward Ho! are both around 20 minutes drive away.

Tucked away in a secluded setting amongst the trees, Three Squirrels is a comfortable and very peaceful base to explore the area. There are two bright and cheerful bedrooms one with an en-suite shower room, and a further family bathroom. The lounge/diner is well furnished and light filled with large doors and windows leading to the kitchen which is through an open archway. Outside a delightful covered deck with table and chairs gives the impression of being in a tree house.

Guests are welcome to use the excellent private leisure facilities of Penstowe Park (charges apply), including indoor and outdoor pools, sauna, Jacuzzi, tennis, badminton and squash courts just a scenic 10 mile drive away. Visitors to the lodge also have free unrestricted use (daylight hours) of the two well stocked fishing lakes adjacent to the lodge.

Accommodation: Ground floor: Open plan living/dining area with double bed settee, TV with freeview, DVD player and CD/radio. Fully fitted kitchen area with electric hob and oven, microwave, fridge/freezer and slimline dishwasher. Bedroom 1 with King and en suite shower room with WC and basin. Bedroom 2 with Twin. Bathroom with WC and basin.

Facilities and Services: Linen and towels. Electric heating. Limited Wi-Fi Broadband. No Smoking. 2 pets welcome. Couples and family parties only. Patio furniture. Allocated parking space. Penstowe Park facilities carry an additional charge. Short breaks available. Arrival time 4pm. Arr/Dep for weekly bookings is Saturday.
