The front door leads into an open plan living space, with a tall vaulted ceiling, oak beams and patio doors opening out into the rear courtyard, which is enclosed and a real sun trap, ideal for breakfasts and barbecues. The living space is ideal for four, having a two-seater sofa and two armchairs, plus a dining table for four. There are two bedrooms on the ground floor; a twin and a very small room for children with bunk beds, along with a shower room. Upstairs is a double bedroom and a family bathroom with a bath and separate shower. There are plenty of quiet, leafy lanes, typical of Devon, to stroll along from the cottage with the dog, and the Hartland coastline, much of it owned by The National Trust, is a beautiful stretch of rugged unspoilt cliffs, sheltered valleys and ancient woodlands. Visit the charming fishing village of Clovelly overlooking the harbour, and try and spot the donkeys trundling up the hill with their packages. Popular resorts to visit also include Saunton Sands, Instow, Westward Ho! and Woolacombe. This stunning cottage provides the family with a huge variety of activities nearby, all year round.

The village of Hartland provides visitors with a craft shop, good pubs and several places to eat. The village of Clovelly lies just 5 miles away and is renowned for its steep cobbled streets and 14th Century harbour. The unspoilt coastal resorts of Bude and Bideford are both within 15 miles making this a superb base for a varied and enjoyable holiday.
