… 2 miles from Widecombe-in-the-Moor, down 700 yards of private drive, are six cottages around a courtyard, superbly converted from an Edwardian 'model farm' and with direct access to open moorland. We let two south-facing cottages. At the front, each cottage has its own private outdoor space (table/chairs) looking to open grassy moorland through which runs the Becka Brook to Emsworthy Nature Reserve (700 yards, rare plants and wildlife) and Dartmoor farmland beyond.Spring water and privately generated electricity. Satellite internet access suitable for browsing/email only. A fantastic place for star-gazing, relaxing and finding your own space.

... Holwell Cottage is a corner cottage with lovely long moorland views. From the courtyard, door to porch (room for coats/boots); open-plan living/dining/kitchen (dishwasher, washer-drier, microwave, oil-fired range cooker - no other cooker) with woodburner, TV/DVD, slate floor (rugs) and porch to picnic area via 4 steps. Stairs up to three bedrooms – two double (5’ beds) with gorgeous views, and a children’s bunk room (5’ long beds); smart bathroom (suite, shower over bath).
