… 2 miles from North Bovey and just inside the main entrance gates to Bovey Castle (a renowned hotel), a fine-looking detached gothic-style gatehouse built in 1907, with views over the 18 hole championship golf course. All guests over 16 receive a complimentary round (subject to availability; non-transferable). Small front garden and large lawn at the rear (tables/chairs).
From the elegant hall, ornate ironwork doors to dining room (TV) with ‘living flame’ gas fire and big round glass table encircled by mullioned windows. Compact fitted kitchen with jet black walls and downlighters reflecting black granite worktops (dishwasher, microwave, cooker with induction hob). Living room (TV/DVD) with mirrored walls, big sofa, ‘living flame’ gas fire and views across the golf course. Cloakroom (washer-drier). Upstairs (stairgate), two light and bright bedrooms – a double (6’ bed) with walk-in dressing room, and a twin (zip-linkable to 6’ double). Bathroom (suite plus hand-shower) and shower-room (suite). Spring water. You are welcome to enjoy the hotel’s pool, sauna, steam room and gym (limited access at Christmas and New Year). Other activities available (extra). Professional catering and ready meals available. Arrival after 4pm. A delightful cottage with quirky interior decor.
