Southmead Cottage is a delightful end-terrace cottage, hidden away in the stunning rural hamlet of Lettaford. This medieval hamlet is made up of just five properties which sit in the heart of Dartmoor, just over three miles from Chagford and with lovely moorland walks from the doorstep.

Upon entering the charming cottage, you step through a small porch, ideal for kicking off your boots before entering the contemporary styled cottage. In here you will be welcomed to a brightly-decorated kitchen with breakfast table. From the kitchen, follow the five steps up to a tranquil, sunny sitting room with an electric flame-effect fire. Large, luxurious double bedroom, with a king-size bed, perfect for relaxing. Next to the bedroom an elegant marble-effect family bathroom.

Stairs from the kitchen up to two bedrooms, with rural views; a spacious king-size double with an en-suite shower plus a room with bunk beds. Outside, you can sit and enjoy your morning coffee in the enclosed garden, complete with furniture and charming rural views. The cottage is alongside a bridle path which takes you directly onto the High Moor, where you will discover miles of wild, open moorlands, rich with history and wildlife. For provisions, restaurants and excellent shopping, the cottage sits close to the tiny towns of Moretonhampstead and Chagford both of which can be located within a 10-minute drive from the cottage. Children will be delighted with The Miniature Pony Centre, located just a mile away. Southmead is a truly elegant cottage, an equally great base for outdoor and adventure lovers, couples or a family, or those seeking rural peace within the Dartmoor National Park.

North Bovey is a small town situated in Dartmoor National Park. Here you will find local amenities including the excellent Ring of Bells pub and a shop. Nearby are a range of activities for all the family to enjoy, including the golf course at Bovey Castle, taking challenging or easy walks within the Dartmoor National Park, or visiting England’s highest man-made waterfall, Canonteign Waterfalls.
