About this property

… ½ mile from Luton, on a 105 acre livestock farm, a newly converted barn attached to the 18th cent. farmhouse. The friendly owners are happy for you to walk the farm and enjoy the wildlife. The area is designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest, and there are Neolithic burial sites, woodland, orchards, duck ponds and a stream. If you’re a ‘twitcher’, it’s worth bringing a camera - you might see a cirl bunting, nightjar or very rare Dartford warbler.

Inside, roomy, light and comfortable with some heavy beams and knobbly walls. From a sunny front patio (table/chairs, barbecue), large glazed entrance doors to open-plan living/dining/fitted kitchen (dishwasher, washer-drier, microwave, fridge-freezer) with big arched windows, comfortable sofas and electric flame-effect fire. Stairs up from the living area to two bedrooms (TVs) with lovely long wooded views – a double, and a twin; bathroom (suite plus bath-shower). A really good spot for coast or moor.

"Lovely clean little cottage. Do explore the woodland (8 yr old loved the swing!) and try out the local pub (20 min walk along the lane). Local single-track roads can be a bit hair-raising - we ended up sticking to the main roads (may be further in miles but probably just as quick, as no reversing required). Teignmouth is an easy drive & v pleasant place to spend the day."

"We enjoyed ourselves a lot and would recommend the "Elizabethan" pub to anyone. Mrs Trump was very helpful and very pleasant to talk to. There was even a bowl of fruit on the table when we arrived - lovely."

"Lovely cottage, fairly recently renovated with nice touches from the owner (simple things like a pint of milk in the fridge and a bowl of fruit - we arrived late in the evening and this really helps. Great location and peaceful."
