… on the outskirts of Dawlish, just off the A379 and along a private drive leading to a small, family-run campsite, two little cottages in the extensive grounds (chickens, ducks) of the owners’ house. Each cottage has its own private, enclosed garden (table/chairs). Peaceful surroundings within easy reach of Dawlish and the coast.
The Roost: a semi-detached cottage with double glazed doors from patio into open-plan living/dining/kitchen with stripped floorboards and roof timbers, smart fitted kitchen area (microwave) and TV/DVD. Shower-room (suite). Stairs up to a large galleried double bedroom with pine furniture and Velux windows. No children over 2.

"Although we booked the cottage for a one week stay we only stayed two nights. On a cold and wet early May we decided to move on rather than feel cold. We did not expect to visit the local supermarket to purchase cleaning materials etc. which should have been provided by the owner."
