The lodge was very nicely set up and had all the amenities you would need, although the kitchen was lacking. There were no baking trays to use in the oven.As soon as we arrived we noticed it was freezing so put the heating on. From then on a very concerning smell appeared and would not dissipate for the whole of our stay. It was a chemical/gas kind of smell & it was coming from every radiator in the lodge. It gave the guests headaches and certainly put a dampener on our stay in the lodge. On the second day it was mentioned to the staff members who did arrive quickly and were shocked by the smell. The sprayed air freshener into the radiators and offered us to move. The smell seemingly went so we thought we would stay, although by the next morning it was back (day of departure so not much we could do by then).There were also signal problems with all of the televisions, making it impossible to watch the tv. The staff were again quick to arrive, however could not fix the problem and just said we could go to the bar instead.The smell was the most off putting part of the stay. It’s a shame as the actual lodge and it’s location were lovely.

The lodge was perfect!! My daughter slipped on the decking when we went in but it’s just a case of being careful, accidents happen. We loved our stay.

A few issues with the lodge; heating not working when we got there, hot tub needs replacing as never at full jets and hot tub maintenance guys a kept leaving the hose in for a refill for hours so it overflows and the heating doesn’t work whilst the tap is on!!Everything and everyone else fabulous! Staff really friendly and helpful.
