This newly refurbished two bedroom, second floor, apartment is set within a converted Granary of a 600 year old Mill on the outskirts of Chudleigh. With beautiful rural views the property has charming character and is dog friendly.

Situated on the outskirts of the small town of Chudleigh with beautiful rural views, close to the pub and shops. Sleeps 4 - 6 (incl. a double sofa bed for £15 extra per 5th & 6th guest).

The Space - a newly refurbished second floor, dog friendly apartment set within a converted Granary of an old 600 year old Mill. It features a fully equipped kitchen and from the window you can see the stream of the water that used to run the wheel for the old Mill. The property has two bedrooms: one has a double bed, the other twin beds that can be attached together to make a double. There is also a double sofa bed in the sitting room, so can sleep six if required. For cosy nights in there is an electric fireplace.

With original exposed stone walls and ceiling beams; with an original iron pulley handle viewable in the roof, this offers characterful, bright and private accommodation. There are nice countryside views from the open plan living area, those are much appreciated by guests coming from busy areas for peaceful holiday.

Public walking path is just a couple yards away and you can choose from plenty of routes leading to town centre or Chudleigh Rocks. Chudleigh is famous for its rocks and caves: popular amongst rock climbers. Most of the public walking paths are great for taking your dog with you.

In town you will find diverse offer for treating your tummy - Phoenix Gastropub, Highwaymans Haunt, The Bishop Lacy Inn to name just a few.

Guest Access - The accommodation is entirely self-contained with access via wooden stairs at the front of the property.

The Neighbourhood - Chudleigh is an old wool town settled in 1309. With several pubs, shops, cafés and a rural community. There is easy car access to Dartmoor National Park and all the sites South Devon has to offer.

Getting Around - Buses to Exeter and Newton Abbot half hourly where direct trains run to London.

The flat is around 9 miles from Exeter along the A38 towards Plymouth. Come off at the B3344 signed-posted Chudleigh. Continue through the town; you will drive past a Spar on the left (open till 10 p.m.), then the church. Turn next left into Lawn drive.

Please note guests are requested to arrive after 2 p.m. and to leave by 11 a.m. This is to give us time for change-over during busy times. If you have requirements outside of this please contact us.

Note: This property has a £350 Good housekeeping deposit, which is payable to Discovery Holiday Homes with the balance of your holiday OR at the checkout you can choose to pay the £5 per person Good housekeeping deposit waiver instead.

    We had a lovely time at the Granary Mill. Richard, the property's caretaker was very kind to leave us some goodies for our breakfast on the first day, as well as fresh duck eggs from his Indian runners. What a treat! We were felt very blessed to be in such a beautiful location on holidays ahead of the arrival of our twins, as we had uninterrupted sleep every time we decided to nap. No ambulance or police sirens, traffic noise, just bliss silence and beautiful views. The external light had also kindly been left switched on for us on our arrival, so we got there safe and sound!

    The cleanliness of the mill was superb. We didn't see anybody but check in and check out was very smooth. We appreciated the unexpected milk being left for drinks the following morning. The steps to the top floor were quite steep but this okay for our family.
