Set in the peaceful village of Torcross, At the Beach offers a relaxing holiday destination while still having plenty in the local area to keep you entertained.
The apartments are situated at the end of a three mile shingle beach where you will also find a cosy pub and cafes. Slapton Ley freshwater Nature Reserve is also close by and is perfect for spotting wildlife and bird watching.
Apartment 9 is a spacious and bright open plan contemporary styled apartment, overlooking the beach in one direction and Slapton Ley in the other. The property benefits from allocated parking for one car. A cot and high chair are provided on request.
Torcross was made famous as the training ground for US Army forces preparing for the D-Day invasion in World War II. An American Sherman tank which was lost at sea in 1944 and recovered in 1984, and memorials, stand beside the visitor parking as a reminder of the lives that were lost.
Dartmouth is a short drive away, as is Salcombe, both offering a choice of fine restaurants, cafes, bars, unique shops and attractions.

...problems using the buses. The bus passes through Torcross once an hour. The bus took us to Plymouth, kingsbridge and Dartmouth. By changing we also visited Torcross and Brixham. Would we also recommend The Start Bay Inn and The Boat House which is next door for excellent meals. Submitted by Kevin and Lynda on 10/12/2016

...surprised at the excellent accommodation and the natural beauty of Torcross making the five hour drive down more than worth while. Booking the holiday was faultless, also the accommodation was five star. Walks in the area along the sea front or lake excellent. ...there is a reason we keep coming back! The location is perfect; very peaceful, secluded, long & clean beaches. Great if you love walking. The apartment is very modern and has all the necessities. Minor issues were immediately resolved by the Property Manager so would encourage to contact him if you have any problems (rather than let a faulty light annoy you throughout your stay!)
