Set in the peaceful village of Torcross, At The Beach offers a relaxing holiday destination while still having plenty in the local area to keep you entertained.
The properties are situated at the end of a 3 mile shingle beach where you will also find a cosy pub and cafes. Slapton Ley National Nature Reserve is also close by and is perfect for spotting wildlife and birdwatching.
Number 19 is a spacious and stylish apartment spread over two floors. Travel cots, high chairs and stair gates are available on request.

Torcross was made famous as the training ground for US Army forces preparing for the D-Day invasion in World War II. An American Sherman tank which was lost at sea in 1944 and recovered in 1984, and memorials, stand beside the visitor parking lot as a reminder of the lives that were lost.
Dartmouth is a short drive away, as is Salcombe, and both offer a choice of fine restaurants, cafes, bars, unique shops and attractions.

...Everything we could possibly want was provided for, right down to washing powder for the washing machine! The cottage layout was a bit tricky for me as I just had a knee replacement and the dining room is a floor above the kitchen, so lots of going up and down stairs. However this is a subjective comment due to my personal circumstances. The cottage is fabulously quiet, all we could hear was the sound of the waves and the birds. It is situated a minute from the beach and the views from the upstairs windows are lovely but not spectacular. We can just see the sea but there's not a view of the beach. Having said this, it didn't detract from the enjoyment of the holiday as we didn't spend much time indoors anyway. There's a pub a few minutes walk that does the best fish & chips we've ever had. If walking is your thing (it is ours) you're spoilt for choice. Overall a great cottage for a great holiday. Submitted by Fulvia on 10/08/2015
