Owlacombe is a delightful detached one bedroom cottage with a bedroom, bathroom, living and kitchen area situated on the owners farm, perfect for couples and their four legged friend. Just outside is beautiful Devonshire countryside and a footpath leads you up over the fields to join more footpaths and country lanes with plenty of views to admire. There is a little terrace area outside to savour a glass of wine or cosy up in the cottage on those cooler winter days. There are good pubs nearby to enjoy a romantic meal, and at the end of a busy day guests can retreat back to Owlacombe Cottage to recharge and check the diary to see when to return for another stay.
The local area offers lots to see and do, the nearby village of Slapton has a village shop, two good local pubs, a pop up tearoom in the church, and a nature reserve offering interesting and picturesque walks. The village of Torcross sits two miles further on along the beach, with more eateries. The bustling market town of Kingsbridge is twenty minutes’ drive away with all amenities and a variety of shops to peruse, as does the historic town of Dartmouth, a thirty minute drive away. A day on Dartmoor offers spectacular scenery and walks as does the South West Coast Path, and for those keen on watersports surfing, paddle boarding and kayaking opportunities are within thirty minutes. Owlacombe Cottage is a welcome retreat to explore this beautiful area.
