… on the edge of Hope Cove, just 350 yards from the beach, Coast Path, pub and shop, three chalet-style cottages side by side within 2 acres of shared gardens of a small holiday development called Thornlea Mews. The gardens are largely informal lawn with a communal barbecue area and picnic tables around the grounds for everyone’s use.
A grass slope and 6 stone steps lead down to Brook Cottages, which are set apart from the main development.
Inside, each chalet is simply and comfortably furnished in Scandinavian style and is beautifully light due to big width-of-house windows revealing lovely countryside views over their own shared level lawn (picnic tables). The three cottages share a laundry room (coin-operated washing machine and tumble drier). Baby baths available. Fuss-free, uncomplicated accommodation just a stroll from the beach: a great place for two or three families staying next to each other or for quiet out-of-season seaside breaks.
2 Brook Cottages: Front door to bright and comfortable open-plan living/dining/kitchen (microwave) with TV/DVD player and views across the garden. Small simple shower-room (suite). Four steps up to three bedrooms – a double with sliding door to a room with 3’ bunks, and a twin (limited clothes-hanging space in twin and bunk rooms).

"Great location to get to beach, coast path and nice pub with good food. Quiet area, lovely garden for children with plenty of space for ball games. Walls quite thin so you may get some noise from neighbours. Not much space but everything you need for your hols. Ideal if you are going with other families as the three apartments are close together."

"The accommodation looked austere from the outside but the interior was very well designed and comfortable. We couldn't wish for more. The surrounding gardens and meadows were maintained to a high standard and great for hide and seek. Hope village and beach were lovely, and Bantham and South Milton great for swimming as always."
