… ⅓ mile along the coast path from Hope Cove, in the smaller village of Inner Hope with its much photographed square of thatched cottages and sandy cove, a former coastguards’ cottage, 125 yards from the beach and the largest of a terrace of five. Reached along a footpath with, at the front, enclosed garden with lawn, shrubs and patio (table/bench, barbecue); at the back, enclosed courtyard with lots of space for surf/beach gear (neighbouring cottage has access through gardens).

Inside, a feeling of space, welcoming. Large kitchen/dining room (dishwasher, washing machine, tumble drier, microwave, freezer). Living room with woodburner and TV/DVD. Downstairs bathroom (suite, shower over bath). Steep stairs (top stairgate) up to four bedrooms (three with limited clothes-hanging space) – two double (5' beds), a twin, and one with two singles. Bathroom (suite). A brilliant family house at any time of year, moments from the beach with lovely coastal walks on the doorstep.
