The cottage is set across three levels and has three beautifully inviting bedrooms. The ground floor has a spacious and bright kitchen, living and dining area which opens out onto the beautiful terrace and gardens, perfect for those sunny days where you feel like sitting outside and enjoying the magnificent views. Upstairs, the master bedroom has its own private sitting room and en suite, with a gallery floor, a skylight and sea views.
There’s so much to keep you occupied on-site at Gara Rock that you may not feel the need to venture too far afield. The exclusive spa is perfect if you want to unwind, with both indoor and outdoor pools, steam room, sauna and Jacuzzi, as well as a sunbathing terrace for those summer days. There is also an award winning restaurant with panoramic views of the coast.
Gara Rock is set in the perfect location for getting to know South Devon. For walking enthusiasts, the South West Coast Path runs almost from your doorstep, and the scenic towns of Salcombe and Dartmouth are both nearby.
Access to Gara Rock is via a narrow country lane. Access to the beach is via a south west coast path down a steep cliff. As a result access would be unsuitable for people with limited mobility

We have just returned from our fabulous week at Gara Rock. We absolutely love this part of Devon and so we were pleased to find the cottages/apartments with the use of a swimming pool (a must according to our son). It goes without saying that the swimming pool was used every day - sometimes twice a day (when the weather wasn't so welcoming). The cottages are a little off the beaten track - but that's what makes it so lovely - the views are amazing. There are some lovely walks around the coast or in to Salcombe via Mill Bay and the'ferry'. The cafe at Gara Rock is great when you don't want to cook The cottage was very well equipped and the homemade scones were a welcome treat Both our children gave the holiday 10/10 - so we will definitely be back next year!

I had a last minute opportunity to get away for 3 days, & was in need of some physical & spiritual refreshment - a bit of a retreat. Gara rock was perfect for this, & the dog and I enjoyed wonderful blustery walks along the coast path, during the day. I loved being able to have a swim in the beautiful pool as it got dark, & the sauna, steam room & jaccuzzi were a real treat. The kitchen had everything I needed & more, & the lounge area was so cosy for snuggling up with a book at the end of the day, & the bed was so comfy - I went to sleep with the windows open, listening to the sound of the sea, & slept very soundly with no light pollution. It being November, I think I was about the only person staying at Gara Rock, which was fine as I was looking for a bit of peace, solitude & intentional time with God. At a different time of the year, I'm sure the resort would be much busier & maybe wouldn't offer this, but it was perfect for me. The location was stunning. The booking arrangements etc were very straightforward. Hoping to come back again next year!

Gara Rock is perfect out of season for a few days away from it all. Came here with a couple of girl-friends for a catch up & physical & spiritual retreat. Spectacular walks on the doorstep, followed by a swim & time in the jaccuzi, sauna & steam room. Well-equipped kitchen for delicious meals & very comfortable beds for quality sleep after all that sea air. No mobile reception until you walk a little way up the lane was a bonus, as no intrusive calls. The internet was down for a few days, but we were almost disappointed when it came back up (along with 64 e-mails!) Enjoyed a delicious lunch at the Ode café too. All the staff were very friendly & helpful. Hope to be back for a 3rd visit before too long!
