There are some great beaches in the area, the closet being Blackpool Sands and Slapton Sands, which are just a 15 minute drive away. There really is so much to do in the region, from zoos to museums or, alternatively, you could just take it easy and enjoy the spectacular natural beauty right on the doorstep.
