Barn Studio is a traditionally furnished, rural bolthole surrounded by glorious Devonshire farmland. This one bedroom barn conversion makes a wonderful retreat if you want to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and enjoy some peace and tranquillity.
Inside, the barn has a light filled, open plan living, kitchen and dining area which opens out onto the beautiful garden. The modern kitchen is a delight to cook in and the cosy living area provides a wonderful space to unwind if you’ve had a busy day exploring your surroundings. The double bedroom complete with a designer en suite is the perfect place to recharge your batteries.
The garden can be accessed from both the living area and the bedroom, and is a beautifully secluded spot. Surrounded by acres of lush, green sheep pasture, you will get a true sense of country living when you step out for a bite to eat or an afternoon with a book. You’ll find Barn Studio in the village of Diptford, near Totnes, just off the beaten track enough to have its own character, but only a short drive from the market town of Totnes.
Barn Studio is ideally situated for exploring South Devon. The charming towns of Dartmouth, Salcombe and Totnes are all within easy reach, as are the popular tourist towns of Torbay. If you prefer to stay closer to home, the area on your doorstep is a dog walker’s paradise and the renowned, dog friendly California Inn, is a mile down the road with the traditional, local New Inn at Moreleigh just a short drive away.

We loved our stay at the Barn studio - it was well furnished and extremely cosy - the heating was done by remote handsets in each room so no waiting for the storage heater to kick in !! - instantly warm - the shower was divine - huge shower head and hot water on demand. This was the cosiest rental we have ever stayed in. Carol and Simon our hosts were a complete delight - welcoming, informative and thoroughly nice people.We would go back in a flash..summer next time to get the benefit of the garden with a beautiful views of the open fields. Merci x

If you are after a lovely 4 night mid week break away from it all then the Barn Studio at Totnes is perfect. The studio was perfect for the 2 of us plus 2 large Greyhounds. Wooden floors and leather sofa - perfect for people with dogs. Ours loved the instant access to the garden and large field beyond which made taking them out walking ideal. Go careful replying on a SatNave to get back to the property on the odd occasion you might get lost as there are some pretty narrow lanes around that the SatNave will take you down. Good facilities and lovely underfloor heating in the bathroom. Owners very friendly and helpful. All in all a lovely place to stay.

Me and my boyfriend decided to book a short break in Devon with our dog. Having not been before we had a good look about on the internet until we came across New Barn Garden Studio. It looked so beautiful and quiet and indeed it was. We were just 20 minutes from all the tourists hotspots like Dartmouth, Kingsbridge, Ivey and Bigbury on Sea. With plenty of dog walks across the gorgeous beaches, tours around the local shops and a quiet evening meal at the local pub the California Country Inn, it was the perfect little break. Everyone was so kind and helpful and we will definitely be returning! Thank you again!
