… 2 miles from Aveton Gifford, at the end of 350 yards of tarmac drive and on the side of a very pretty, organically farmed valley, a picture-book detached stone cottage. Numerous footpaths criss-cross the surrounding countryside. The cottage stands very privately on its own with an enclosed garden. To one side, a patio (table/chairs) with long farmland views.
Inside, simple and unpretentious. Kitchen/dining room (washing machine, microwave, Aga available during low season, separate electric cooker). Living room (woodburner) with TV/DVD and French windows to garden. Upstairs, two bedrooms – a double (5’), and a room with two single beds (limited clothes-hanging space); bathroom (suite). Spring water. A fuss-free, comfortable place to unwind.
