Just outside the courtyard, a lawned walled garden (also enclosed) with camellias, fig and walnut trees, leading to another captivating garden with pond (unfenced) and 6 grassy acres with big wildlife pond (fenced), benches (terrific long views) and big trees to sit under, inviting you to rest, read or just enjoy the silence and let your mind wander (children should be supervised). L248 and L191 are heated by biomass boiler, using wood from local, sustainable woodland. Spring water. Arrival after 4pm. A peaceful, curative oasis, good for ‘taking it easy’.
