This lovely cottage that sleeps six people is situated in the rural village of High Bickington, Devon, less than a mile from Libbaton Golf Club. Situated next to a farmhouse, this beautiful rural property provides three bedrooms over two levels and is ideally located for many of the National Parks in the region. It is the perfect retreat for those who wish to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The owners keep a small flock of Jacob sheep, chickens and the occasional rare breed pigs, along with their delightfully friendly dogs and cats. On the ground floor is a well-equipped cottage style kitchen with Aga cooker and dining area, a shower room, and a cosy living room complete with wood burning stove, two sofas and a Sky TV (sports channels included). There is also a games room which is fully heated and contains table tennis, table football and darts. On the first floor you'll find two spacious double bedrooms, one of which has a king-size bed and wash basin, along with a twin bedroom and a bathroom with separate shower.

Access to the fully enclosed, private garden is provided just off the downstairs bathroom, where you'll find stunning views of the countryside as well as a patio with a picnic table and benches. The village of High Bickington is an ideal destination for those who like to cycle and walk, with a whole host of trails and scenic routes available.

You're a thirty-minute car journey from Exmoor National Park, which is home to rare wildlife and exceptional coastal views - truly a place to really enjoy a sense of remoteness and tranquillity that is all too rare in today's busy world. To the south is the wild rugged beauty of Dartmoor, with its beautiful villages nestling among the truly breathtaking moorland scenery. . There is also the nearby Bodmin Moor, which plays host to Dozmary Pool, the mythical place where Sir Bedivere was reported to have thrown the famous sword Excalibur to the Lady of the Lake! And don't forget to keep your eyes open for the fabled Beast of Bodmin, the large wild cat that has featured in many tales local to the area.
