… 2 miles from Parracombe and 2½ miles from the little pebble beach at dramatic Heddon’s Mouth, deep in a tranquil wooded valley with long, lovely views over lush meadow and the imposing moorland of Trentishoe Down, a reverse-level cottage, stylishly converted from a barn. Tables/chairs and a bench are placed to catch the sun and a 50 yard meander through meadow opposite leads to a totally private, sheltered sunny spot (table/chairs) for outdoor meals, day-dreaming and listening to birdsong.
From parking area, door to hall (for coats/boots) to inner hall, off which spacious double bedroom (5’ bed) with en suite bathroom (suite plus hand-shower); roomy shower-room (suite). Stairs up to open-plan living/dining/kitchen (electric cooker, fridge) with TV, sloping ceiling and gorgeous views. Washing machine, tumble drier and table tennis in attached barn shared with two other cottages, with owners’ house beyond. Spring water. A smart, comfortable cottage with walking from the door and star-gazing tranquillity.

"The Roundhouse at Parracombe was the most lovely of holiday properties. Well equipped and extremely comfortable. We loved every minute of our 7 day holiday (in fact 7 days was not long enough). Beautiful surroundings and the owners were extremely helpful if there was a problem. The bottle of wine and extremely delicious chocolate biscuits left for us by our host was a really lovely touch. We would have no hesitation in recommending this property and, yes, we will be going back ."
